Pricing

Pricing is based on the scope of the work, ensemble type, and difficulty. Price listed is for the piece as is, and does not include any edits to the score (see below). I do occasionally revise compositions and offer newer copies for free, if I make a revision to the score after your purchase. All purchases can be completed via Stripe on the checkout page, and additional payment methods are available upon request. Lastly, I occasionally offer bundled pricing options and discounts for underfunded programs on a case-by-case basis.

Copyright and Licensing

All original compositions and arrangements are © McDowell Music. Purchasers are granted a license to perform and reproduce the purchased materials for their ensemble(s) only. Arrangements may be subject to certain licensing restrictions or additional fees to perform, while original compositions and public domain works may be performed without these restrictions. Due to copyright restrictions for arrangements of copyrighted works, I am unable to list my entire catalog on this website but can provide a complete list upon request. For help navigating copyright for specific arrangements, please contact me directly and I can provide information regarding the copyright status of any given work as well as licensing options for your ensemble.

A special note for complete marching shows: there is an exclusivity clause enabling only one performance of the work per given event (to prevent multiple ensembles from performing the same show at the same competition). The ensemble who purchased the work first has first priority for show performance rights, and all subsequent purchases of the show (for the given season) will be notified of show performance restrictions before purchase is completed.

Edits

All works may be revised upon request to better suit your ensemble’s instrumentation, duration needs, or skill level. I charge an additional fee depending on the scope of the edits desired, and can provide a quote upon request. I try to be as flexible and accommodating in my writing as possible and will work with you to find a solution you are happy with!
