Commissions

Overview

I am always accepting new commissions for compositions and arrangements. My availability varies depending on a variety of factors, but I will communicate clearly from the start regarding the estimated timeline for your project. The delivery date I try to give is always the maximum amount of time that I think it may take, so the commission may be done earlier than stated. I am constantly driven to create a musical work that is both unique and enjoyable, while also being catered directly to the needs of you and your ensemble. I enjoy writing compositions in a variety of genres, styles and instrumentations.

My compositional journey originally began with writing marching band shows, but has since evolved to also include a wider array of music. I am always exploring new compositional styles and techniques, and constantly aim to expand the scope of my writing ability. Dramatic, romantic and thematic writing is something I enjoy the most!

Private Commissions

When requesting a private commission, you may provide as little or much instruction and guidance in the composition process as you would like. I will not stop work on the composition until you are completely satisfied with the final product! I provide full exclusive performance rights to your ensemble for one year after the commission is completed. The piece is then released to the public with the name of your ensemble optionally attached, and you can continue to perform the composition as often as you like. Additionally within that first year after the piece is completed, I can provide one optional in-person clinic at no extra cost for any ensembles located within 150 miles of Eugene, Oregon or with an additional fee for ensembles located elsewhere.

Open Commissions

In addition to private commissions, I also provide a selection of open group commissions that anyone is welcome to join and participate in! These commissions provide a cheaper alternative and are open to anyone at any time, for a fixed price. All commission members will have exclusive performance rights to the composition for one year after the commission is completed. Just like my private commissions, the piece will then be released to the public and you can continue to perform the composition as often as you like.
